Remembering the Days of Summer

Woke up to snow and wind this morning.    It made me think back on the sunny days of summer.   I went back and looked at some of the photos I took while on the road this summer.   On the crest of the hill in the distance you can see a windmill.   It was a “real” one that still pumped water into a stock tank for cattle on the range far from home.

  1. Winter is definitely moving in. We haven’t seen anything other than a stray flake or two but you can feel the change in the air and the shorter days indicate winter will be here soon. Time to bring in the firewood and gather some yarn and books for indoor activity.

  2. Winter hasn’t set in yet here in Michigan, but it sounds like it may not be too far off. There is a cold spell predicted for this weekend and maybe even a few of those flaky things. Really not looking forward to the long dark months, except I will spend much of them reading and writing. Stay warm!

I'd love it if you let me know what you thought of this post.
