One My Favorite Vistas in Montana

I have only lived in Montana for 13 years now, somewhat of a new comer compared to many others. Unlike most folks I have had the privilege of traveling the state intensively and have visited almost all,  if not every one, of the 56 counties.   My grandparents took me along when they traveled and I have an appreciation for visiting out of the way and sometimes quirky destinations, along with all the must see places.   So I love to study up on a place and not just make a quick stop, but ferret out the story of why they came and what happened to them.      One of my favorite places in Montana is the Big Hole valley.

You see the jack leg fence and the willows that surround the Big Hole River and off in the distance are the Bitterroot Mountains. This is the view that pops in my mind when I think big sky county and Montana.
