The holidays have come and gone and now we move onward. I am ready.
This year no one in our house was in the holiday mood. We put up no tree nor hung decorations. Our yearly cards were mailed late. Shopping for gifts was a chore. We had just reached a point where skipping the holiday was just fine. Both my husband and I felt that the demands of the commercial driven holiday had overtaken everything such that we were not feeling the spirit of the season. Now that Christmas is over we will no longer be constantly bombarded by messages that we must be spending like crazy with a December 25th deadline. We can get back to living life. It sounds good.
