Missed Season

We have a autumn in southwest Montana, but it is so short and different than those of the midwest that I always feel a little robbed each year.  I grew up on a street of sugar maples and so they were always full of colors each fall.  Then there is the smell or rotten leaves after they have all fallen.  Finally there is the smell of burning leaves.   I miss all of that tonight.

  1. I feel that we missed out a little on leaf color this year in Michigan too. It was pretty, but not amazing. I guess I should be grateful for the color we did get. Mostly it is over now. The rains have taken away the sun and the color.

  2. The colors in Morrison were beautiful this year. Just to bad I didn’t take pictures of them when they were in their prime. Next year!

I'd love it if you let me know what you thought of this post.
