When I was a kid Sunday nights were spent watching “Wonderful World of Disney” with introduction from old Walt. One of my favorite memories was of the flowers that were captured and shown in time lapse photography. In less than a couple of minutes you could watch a plant go from a seed peeking out of the soil to a rose in full bloom.
Having chicks and watching them grow is like one of those time-lapse photography movies. Yesterday the chicks were all down and already today they have a few feathers on their wings. This is all good as that down does not keep the chicks warm, they need feathers for that. Feathers are critical in Montana as it snowed here today. Until then they will depend on me for their heat and to keep the drafts away.
