My chickens went through molt and lost a lot of feathers, but never had bald spots. I guess all breeds are different. Thank God, they got all their winter feathers in by the time really cold weather hit in central Virginia.
I now have 4 in various states of molting here in Montana, where winter is most assuredly here.
But when they do have their feathers, they are beautiful girls!
Good to see pictures…sort of like the pictures on the Internet of normal vs. abnormal chicken poop. At least us newbies now know what to expect! Thanks and have a wonderful holiday!
Glad to share. I know when I started with chickens it was hard to find pictures of what molting might look like. Good luck with your birds.
